If you're a home owner, chances are you've put your house on the market. But have you ever gone against the grain and put it on the market in December just before Christmas? When temperatures are freezing cold?
I never thought I'd do this, but here I am. And above is a photo of our kitchen to prove it.
Hubby and I were going to wait until March 2014 to list the place. Spring and all that. But circumstances in our lives have changed. Nothing bad. And too detailed to include here. Suffice to say that the circumstances are actually very good.
So we're doing everything the pros tell you not to do. Including making appointments to see other houses. Yes sirree bob, we're two-timing our lovely home.
Today is hubby's 70th birthday. Holy cow, that's the first time I've written it down: 70. Already! Besides taking him out for a birthday dinner at a fabulous Mexican restaurant here in Kamloops, I'm dragging him around to look at 4 different homes throughout the city this morning.
Speaking of the city, below is a pic of Kamloops in the summer time from our front deck.
It's even more spectacular at night. Especially during this time of the year with all the Christmas lights. A good enough reason to list the place in December, I'd say.
So why have we decided to buck the trends?
Because we've tried other ways before. Other ways that led to nowhere. So we figured, what the hay. Let's try something different. Let's stay remarkably focused on moving into a new home and the new owners of our place. Whoever they may be. How we'll introduce them to everyone. How we'll make their transition as painless as possible.
And now that the place is listed, a friend shared with me just the other day that the next 6-week time period is a very important time for manifesting the future. Well...YAY!
I can't say if that's true. But I will say that I'm very much ready to manifest a change of residence. Even at Christmas time. In fact, why not at Christmas time. After all, isn't it the season of miracles.
Now I can hardly wait to see what properties are waiting for us.
Happy birthday, hubby! Love of my life!!!
