Awesomeness Fest 2012 Cancun, Mexico |
Arrived in Toronto safe and sound yesterday afternoon, on my way to Awesomeness Fest. Can't say the same for my checked in bag. I'm sure it's seeing more of the Toronto airport than I ever will.
Westjet assured me they would find the bag and check it in for my flight to Punta Cana this morning. So happy that I packed what I would need for this morning in my carry on.
YAY me!
Now it's up to Westjet to follow through. Will find out in a few hours.
No sense getting upset about it. Even though my costume for the Carnival themed party is in that bag. And all my changes of clothes. The exception is what I need for today. And delicates, I might add. And my make-up to be sure.
YAY me, again! There is something to be said for being organized.
Back a couple of months, I wrote an article titled 7 Tips to Make Your Foreign Travel Anxiety-Free and Memorable for all the Right Reasons
Today I offer up #8: Consider what you'll need to travel the next day. And all your toiletries. Then pack them in your carry on and/or purse. Keep in mind what you are permitted to bring on the plane. Toothpaste must be in baby tubes. No liquid or cream beyond 3.4 oz (100 ml).
Safe and happy travels everyone! My next post will come to you via Dominican Republic. And I'll let you know if my checked bag arrives with or without me.
Darlene, it is great that you can take things in stride and not let them bother you or say why does this always happen to me? Also, the fact you were prepared for the next day. Premonition or good planing or both? Have an awesome time.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that I found your blog, because I got a lot of interesting knowledge and valuable experience.
ReplyDeleteWhen I plan to travel by plane, and if my luggage is filled with clothing, I try to minimize by bringing less.
